Do you need to raise money to pay for autism therapies? or Would you like to raise money to support an autism related organization.
Decide what kind of fundraiser you want to do. Will you sell products? Have an event? Or just collect donations? Be sure to pick either a very good high quality product or an event that will generate enough money to make it work the time and effort you will put into the event. If you decide to do an event, consider either also including a silent auction and asking for donations of items or combining the event with a craft show or other booths and displays. Ask the participants who are selling their items to contribute a portion of their sales to your autism fund. This will allow you to attract not only stable well-established businesses but smaller ones who have high quality products but who may not yet have the budget to invest up front in a booth or registration fee. You can also consider hosting a home party type event and using the money raised to pay for your autism expenses.
Consider doing a fundraiser with a network marketing or direct sales rep with a company that does fundraisers. Many times you can make more money this way and they do not have the strict organization rules that many other fundraising companies do. You may even want to consider becoming a distributor yourself to earn even more money. Make sure that if you do this though that you choose a product you know will sell and that you love and are passionate about yourself.
Have a goal in mind of how much money you would like to raise. Having a goal in advance will help you choose the right fundraiser and you will be more likely to raise the money. Also make sure that you let anyone who is helping you know about the dollar amount of your goal.
Consider doing several small fundraisers. Especially if the amount of money you need to raise is large.
Keep going and don't give up, if you search hard enough and long enough you will succeed with your autism fundraising.
Have a specific reason why you are raising the money. Whether it is to pay for therapy, a special school, a camp, or just because you feel importantly about the cause. This will give you purpose and reason and you will be more likely to be successful. Don't forget to let those who patronize you or who ask about supporting you know why you are raising the money.
In short, you can be successful with your autism fundraising, if you work at it and are willing to consider alternatives that others will not.
