Autism Speaks - An Overview of the Primary Autism Awareness Non-Profit Agency

Autism Speaks is a nationwide nonprofit organization that is designed to raise funds and awareness as well as change the future for the many individuals who struggle with autism spectrum disorders.

The organization has dedicated all it's efforts to funding global research regarding what causes, how to prevent, what is available for treatment, and ultimately finding a cure for autism. This organization also focuses efforts on raising public awareness and the many effects it has on not only the individual suffering from autism but also the families and societies as well. Autism Speaks is about hope for the future for all affected by autism. The organization is determined to raise the necessary funds required to achieve the previous goals.

Autism Speaks brings communities together and believes that individuals can work together to unite in one strong voice and make a difference. Autism Speaks is about urging the government as well as the private sector to pay attention to the many issues and take the bull by the horns to address this matter head on. Their goal is to unite and find the missing pieces of the puzzle.

Autism Speaks holds many events throughout the year to help raise funds. The organization holds walks, sponsors concerts, dinners as well as golf outings.  They have been highlighted on such shows as "The View" and were a part of the final two episodes of "The Apprentice" where they pleaded their goals and spread awareness to millions of homes.
